Hi Charles:

Thanks for your comments. I changed that poorly written sentence as you advised. Do you see anything else that could be improved?? I always enjoy having my work proof read.

About J. Lodge... what I have seen has been postive overall. J Lodge is part of the "Ticket to Work" program which means they must have been vetted by the Social Security Administration. Also, I have seen that they have contracted for some state governments. But if you learn anything about them yourself, please let me know. I would like to include it in my article.

Hello Rudy. :-)

I am currently on hiatus and shifting around the content of the podcast.

I am going to try something new (it should be coming out on Thursday on a podcast and blog entry.)

I will be going to a StorySlam at "The Moth" on Wednesday evening (January 13, 2010 @ 19:00 [7:00 PM] at Housing Works Bookstore Cafe, 126 Crosby Street [between Prince and Houston & Broadway and Lafayette] in Manhattan, NY)

A StorySlam consists of an evening of 5 minute segments of "open mike" segments being read by all comers. It should be enjoyable.

This StorySlam is about Time.

I have prepared a story on being me, and disabled, which lasts precisely 5 minutes. (I've been working on it all week. [Its so hard to know when to STFU.]) :-)

Do you honestly think the government is going to give you GOOD care? Like they do with medicare or SS right now?????? Are you kidding me?

Just how do you think they are to cut cost? Where will they find the necessary doctors to support such a system?

The government is going to determine who gets what care by the amount a person can contribute to society.

How do you think the people that are physically unable going to "contribute" will fare in that situation?

Are you familiar with the 3 health advisers to Obama ? Do you know their philosophy and ideas of what government healthcare is? These are the same people he put in charge of developing a single payer system.

One of Obama's advisers, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, wrote and is pushing for the "Complete Live System".

Have you read that? That document is readily available on the internet. It's an eye-opener.

Don't get sucked into the propaganda. Every American has an obligation to inform themselves, to learn the facts and not just take other peoples opinions as fact.

The 50 million people without insurance you quoted includes people who chose not to take health insurance and also people not legally entitled to benefits.

I am not on anyone's side. I want tort reform, insurance reform and for the government to stop the fraud. They have the means to do that without blowing up the complete system. Yet they continue to forge ahead with reckless, costly proposal that will benefit no one except themselves and their political aspirations. They will be able to afford private care. They will not be forced into this nightmare they are creating for the rest of us.

Right now any person in the US can walk into an emergency room and be treated. So the notion that people cannot get care is not true. They just don't like the care in the ER or the wait times or the lack of doctors. Well, guess what. If this healthcare bill passes, the entire system will be run the same way or worse. Sit down, shut up and wait for care.........hopefully it comes in time to save your life....but then again, it's a great way to lower the numbers, isn't it.
