exchange resources and ideas and support each other

I haven’t been around my computer much this week but here’s why. I went up Monday, October 12th and picked up my brand new, bright blue Q6000xl power chair! My dme had me go to them because it was much easier and faster to get it custom fit to me. Otherwise they would have to bring it out, test fit it, make whatever adjustments they could in the field, measure me up for any custom pads, belts, ect. Then take it back to their shop, build them, install them, come back out, if something wasn’t right take it back to their shop, straighten it out, bring it back, you get the idea! It could have taken weeks to get it just right. By going to them if they needed to redo a pad or something, they were in their shop already, so all they had to do was step over to the appropriate machine, do what needed done to tweak it, and put it back on. As it was we kept 2 guys busy for about 4 hours getting it just so but it was sooo worth it! I gotta give props to the guys at JVA mobility out of Cedar Rapids Iowa. I was having health issues that day that kept me a frequent flyer in the bathroom, but Vince and his crew went above and beyond to work with me. I bet I drove them nuts having them adjust this or tweak that, not to mention the frequent potty stops, but once again, it was worth it! They even mounted a slick little bracket on the bottom of my seat to hold the steel pants hook that they made me! I bet this one don’t break as easy as the plastic ones do! Thanks guys! Now that I have a new chair with a seating system that fits like a glove, I been going out every chance I get, because before ling, winter will be here and I’ll be a hermit again till spring!

Hardest part for me and my family has been the adjustments to the mood swings. Almost three years out, and I'm still struggling with the mood swings.
