Unselfishly giving to others is one of the key ways that I have coped with my disability one of my key beliefs is that one of the best things you can do in life is to give of yourself and your time to help to cultivate someone else's happiness giving money to important causes is good but I strongly believe that giving love unselfishly and from the heart is one of the most fulfilling things you can do in life my family is taught me by example that giving of yourself to make other people's lives better without expecting anything in return is one of the ways to true happiness for both you and those you come in contact with. This principle in my life has allowed me to find happiness in the simplest gestures that makes other people's lives better even if only for a couple of seconds.
Smiling at everyone you see even when you don't feel like it or you don't get a positive response.
Giving honest and sincerely felt complements to people
Telling the people who are close to you that you care often and backing it up with your actions
Being polite and courteous as much as possible (everyone has bad days)
I make an effort to do these things everyday of my life I think they are supremely important as a way of coping with a difficult life. Giving with your actions I believe makes it much easier to have a positive attitude because when you contribute to the happiness of those around you I believe strongly that it will come back to you.
